NL NDP Leader Alison Coffin is in Labrador this week, meeting with municipal leaders and residents as well as touring local industries and communities alongside Labrador West MHA Jordan Brown.
On Labour Day, MHAs Coffin and Brown met with local residents at a Leader’s Meet and Greet at the Two Seasons in Labrador City. Yesterday, Coffin met with the Wabush Mayor and Town Council, the Wabush Pensioners group, and BlockLab/ Big Land Networks.
Leader’s Itinerary
· Sept. 4, 10:00 a.m. – Tacora Resources Meeting and Tour, Wabush
· Sept. 4, 2:00 p.m. – Great North Data Meeting, Labrador City
· Sept. 4, 4:00 p.m. – Meeting with Labrador City Mayor and Town Council
· Sept. 5, 12:00 p.m. – Visit to Churchill Falls and CFLco including a working tour of Churchill Falls switchyards and underground generating plant.
· Sept. 6 – Visit to Happy Valley-Goose Bay
· Sept. 7, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. – Labour Day Family Fun Day, Centennial Park, Labrador City (USW Hall in case of rain)
· Sept. 8, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. – Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk, Labrador City. The walk begins at Centennial Park and ends at Rotary Park.
