In six months, nursing vacancies in NL reached 752, an increase of 22%. While the Premier announces new hospitals and specialty units, Long Term Care beds sit empty because we do not have the healthcare staff.
The province needs to focus on retention of healthcare workers who are fleeing public healthcare. We need to stop the bleeding.
