CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY: OUTREACH WORKER (PART-TIME, TEMPORARY)
About the Position
Newfoundland and Labrador's New Democratic Party is seeking a motivated, creative, and energetic individual to assist with event planning, voter outreach and other duties to promote and build the NDP in this province. The position will be contractual and based in St. John's.
General Description and Duties
Under the supervision of a member of the NL NDP Executive, the Outreach Worker will:

Assist in planning events and organizing voter outreach over the summer months

Help build and engage our volunteer base

Participate in direct voter contact and data collection

Prepare detailed post-event reports throughout the contract

Perform other duties such as assisting with fundraising and managing phone and email messages

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills

Confident, assertive, and pleasant verbal communicator

Excellent listener and connector

Demonstrated ability to work well with others

Willingness to work irregular hours in a fast-paced environment, including the occasional evening, weekend, and holiday

Demonstrated ability to work within a team as well as independently

Proven experience keeping accurate and detailed records

Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with electoral campaigns, political involvement, and/or volunteering.

Membership with the NL NDP is an asset.

This is a part-time, temporary contract with a rate of $25 an hour.
-
The position requires the successful candidate to work remotely.
-
Length of contract will be 16 weeks.
-
Shifts will be flexible and variable as the position is largely focused on special events. Some travel will be required.
