For Immediate Release
January 31, 2025
With the rising cost of living, MHA Jim Dinn (St. John’s Centre) is hosting a town hall to hear directly from Newfoundlanders and Labradorians about the financial pressures they are facing.
The event will provide a space for open discussion on issues like housing, food prices, utility costs, and wages, ensuring that the voices of people across the province are heard.
The town hall will take place on Wednesday, February 5th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1 in St. John’s. All residents are encouraged to attend and share their experiences.
“People are struggling to make ends meet, and it’s critical that their concerns are heard,” said Dinn. “Government needs to step up with real solutions—not just empty promises. This town hall is an opportunity for people to share their experiences and concerns so I can fight for them in the House of Assembly.”
The event will include an open forum where attendees can voice their concerns about affordability, along with a discussion on what needs to change to make life more affordable in Newfoundland and Labrador.
“Change starts with listening,” Dinn continued. “I encourage anyone feeling the pressure of rising costs to come out, speak up, and be part of the conversation.”
This event will be live streamed through MHA Dinn’s Facebook page.
