Sarah Parsons has been confirmed as the official NL NDP candidate for Corner Brook in the upcoming provincial election.

Born and raised in Corner Brook, Sarah Parsons is a youth care worker, union member, and longtime community volunteer. With deep roots in the district and a passion for standing up for everyday people, she brings the determination and lived experience needed to fight for real change.

“As a working parent and frontline worker, I know how hard it’s gotten for people in our community,” said Parsons. “I’m stepping forward because life shouldn’t cost this much—and people in Corner Brook deserve a voice who will put them first.”

NL NDP Leader Jim Dinn praised Parsons’ nomination:

“Sarah understands what people in Corner Brook are going through—because she’s lived it. She’ll be a strong voice for fairness, affordability, and fixing what’s broken in our healthcare system. I’m proud to welcome her to our team.”

As families across Newfoundland and Labrador struggle with rising prices, unaffordable rent, and long ER wait times, the NL NDP continues to lead with practical solutions: removing the HST from home heating, raising the minimum wage to $20, and bringing in real rent control.

“Sarah’s nomination is part of a growing movement in this province, a movement to lift each other up and make life better for everyone,” said Amanda Will, NL NDP Deputy Campaign Director. “We’re with her, and we’re with the people of Corner Brook.”

The NL NDP is with you. Together, we’ll fight for real change.
