NDP House Leader Jordan Brown (MHA, Labrador West) wants government to take unusual action in the face of what he describes as “an unprecedented threat in the current trade situation.”
Brown has written to the premier requesting a resolution confirming all-party agreement with the need to stand firm. This would allow all members to stand together to condemn the unheard-of actions taken by U.S. President Trump.
“In our entire history as a province of Canada, we have never had to deal with such hostile actions from our southern neighbour,” Brown said. “It is vital that we send a strong, all-party message.”
A copy of the letter and the resolution is attached.
