Nicole Boland

Waterford Valley

Nicole Boland is a Registered Social Worker with a knack for tackling the toughest challenges in health, education, and housing. Her career journey has given her a unique perspective, having worked across public, private, and not-for-profit sectors in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Starting out in Shea Heights, Nicole’s passion for helping others began early. In her early teens, she began volunteering at the Hoyles-Escasoni Centre and in university, she worked evenings and weekends in the home care field. This early experience set the stage for her impressive career in social work. From individual case management, group facilitation, and front-line advocacy, Nicole has worn many hats.

Nicole is a dedicated advocate for addiction and mental health, with a strong focus on harm reduction and the Housing First approach. Her hands-on experience with system navigation and advocacy has given her a deep understanding of how government and community supports work. Along with this, she specializes in knowledge mobilization and low barrier education initiatives.

Nicole is thrilled to join Jim Dinn and Jordan Brown in the NL House of Assembly. She is eager to bring her passion and experience to the table, working hard to ensure that everyone in Newfoundland and Labrador gets the support they need and that no one is left behind.
