Change often begins with one small act.
Dear New Democrats,
That’s my sincere belief and the reason I keep pushing forward every day as Leader of the NDP in Newfoundland and Labrador.
And do we ever need political change in our province!
Not tinkering around the edges. Not Libs and Cons giving us a song and dance routine on everything from Muskrat Falls to the scandalous hiring practices for The Rooms and the giveaway of $92 million of our hard-earned money to their friends at Canopy Growth and Biome for recreational marijuana.
That’s the same old, same old.
If ever there was a time for political change it’s right here, right now!
Our 2019 Election Planning Team is in place.
In 2018 more than 1,400 Newfoundlanders and Labradorians have signed on as new members of the NL NDP.
It’s clear, people want change.
As New Democrats I am asking each and every one of you to be that change.
Our biggest annual fundraising deadline is now just weeks away – and there's no better time to act if you haven't had the opportunity to give in 2018 – or to top up your 2018 annual or monthly donation.
Keep in mind – political donations deliver generous tax advantages as a way to recognize your support of democracy.
A $100 donation to the NL NDP actually only costs you $25 at tax time because of the 75% credit you can claim against your income. Check out the full tax credit information with Elections NL here.
Besides working for you, in the hands of the NL NDP your donation works for change in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Before I sign off – at the risk of giving away our election platform to the Libs and Cons (if only they were listening) here’s some of what we intend to fight for in 2019:
No more giveaways to large corporations – enough already. Affordable child care – young families need help.Politics done differently – all-party committees, for a start.
Remember change begins with one small act. Please, act today and donate to your Party’s annual year-end campaign.
Our voice matters more than ever. Let’s bring it, loud and clear to the House of Assembly in 2019.
In solidarity, Gerry Rogers Leader, NL NDP
