With the rising cost of living, MHA Jim Dinn (St. John’s Centre) is hosting a town hall to hear directly from Newfoundlanders and Labradorians about the financial pressures they are facing.
These town halls will provide a space for open discussion on issues like housing, food prices, utility costs, and wages, ensuring that the voices of people across the province are heard.
Dinn will hold the town hall in Gander on Wednesday, July 16th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Elks Lodge, 6 Caldwell Street. The town hall in Grand Falls-Windsor will take place on Thursday, July 17th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Senior Citizens Recreation Centre, 25 Edwards Place.
All residents are encouraged to attend and share their experiences.
“People across the province, especially in rural Newfoundland and Labrador, are struggling to make ends meet, and it’s essential their voices are heard,” said Dinn. “The government needs to step up with real action—not just empty promises. This town hall is a chance for people to share their experiences and challenges, so I can bring their concerns directly to the House of Assembly and fight for the support they deserve.”
The event will include an open forum where attendees can voice their concerns about affordability, along with a discussion on what needs to change to make life more affordable in Newfoundland and Labrador.
