Resolutions

Here’s what you need to know:
• Resolutions must be approved by a party body (district association, provincial executive, caucus, an affiliated organization or group, the Federation of Labour, or a regional representative on the provincial executive) before being considered by the Resolutions Committee (i.e. no individual submissions);
• The due date for resolutions approved by party bodies is Wednesday, August 26;
• Approved resolutions must be submitted to info@nlndp.ca; and
• There is a new format for resolutions (see the Resolutions Guide linked below for details).

Everything you need to help you draft a resolution is right here:
• Our new Resolutions Guide, which has everything you need to know about resolutions, including best practices for writing them, an explanation of how they get approved at convention, and other key information;
• A book of previously-adopted resolutions from conventions past, all the way back to 2014; and
• An up-to-date version of the Party Constitution as previously amended at the 2023 Convention.
